Beginning Tarot

We will be using the Rider-Waite Deck for this class. It is important that you have your own deck. If you do not already have a Rider-Waite Deck, Oak Trail Books will have them available for purchase.

Now that you have your new Tarot deck, where do you begin?
Are you overwhelmed by so many cards to memorize?

This Beginning Tarot Class is divided into 3 easily managed sessions. Each session will be comprised of both lecture and hands-on application. You will be reading Tarot by the end of session 1. As with any craft, the more you hone your skills and increase your knowledge base, the better you will become. Here is a brief run-down of what will be covered in each session.

Session 1
In this session we will delve into the intuitive aspects of reading Tarot. You will learn:
How to intuitively read a card
How to make a story from your cards
Tarot layouts - Choosing your spread: Which type of spread is best suited for the question being asked?
How to phrase the question to receive the clearest answer
Lots of hands-on practice
By the end of the session, you will be able to begin doings Tarot readings for yourself and others.

Session 2
The Minor Arcana cards will be deciphered using the Tree of Life glyph
The Major Arcana cards will be highlighted with key word associations.
Hands-on practice using key words and intuitive techniques in reading

Session 3
The Court Cards ? reading these royal images as representations of actual people or as states of energy
Review of actual readings
Putting it all together
Hands-on practice

Having attended several of Issac and Abra's classes in Dallas, I cannot say enough about what they have to teach.
