One last blather before I rest. The Bay Area Tarot Symposium (BATS) is in San Francisco on October 3-4. Dragonsong and I will be going. I will be prattling (again) about some topic such as this time the Death card through the ages. Yes, another PowerPoint presentation of pictures of cards and discussion about how we look at death now and how our ancestors/elders looked at death. Lots of great people come to this event, and YOU too can go. You can get information from daughtersofdivination.com and get the scoop. We can form a Bellingham posse and take the place over. This is one of those events where you can meet all those Tarot authors whose books you've read and get a really good one-on-one going. This event has kept me sane through the years. Yikes! That's not an endorsement, 'cause I don't know if I'm sane. Check it out. It's fun. Joanna has been there and come back mostly whole. Dragonsong has been there and agreed to room with me (sympathy cards can be delivered to any Tarot Meet Up from here on.

Seriously, check this event out. Very cool, great lecturers, great vendors, great attendees. And, you don't have to know squat about Tarot. We are all students of the discipline, no matter how long we have been plowing the trenches.

(I can't make the Reader's Studio next year 'cause of $$ and the fact it is a humping long plane ride and the arthritic joints won't take that, but Wald and Ruth Ann from the Reader's Studio will be at BATS, just like Thalassa from BATS will be at the Reader's Studio.) We are just cards shuffled into the same deck.

BATS is fun
BATS is great
It make me want
To Perculate

I'm done now.

Thanks for the information and taking the time to type this in. You were delightful last night and I appreciate your information and the small push to 'read intuitively' even though it takes time for us 'newbees' to trust that skill after years of living with people who don't believe that and try to 'squah' that skill. After four months I trust my own interpretation and process with the cards and can let the books go and listen to my 'inner voice'. I appreciated your comments.

Holly's right! BATS is most definitely a gas and oh, so much closer than New York! I've been several times as a vendor and/or presenter. The only reason I'm not going this year is because two good friends are getting married on the island on Oct 4th and then I leave a few days later for Maine to visit my grandbaby Grace. But next year -- the hundredth anniversary of the Rider Waite Smith deck -- now THAT I won't miss for anything!

I urge any and all of you to follow Holly and DragonSong along to BATS this year!
