I am currently enjoying doing readings with Titania's Star Tarot. It is a very sparse deck with silhouettes on the majors and the minors are just pips. What has captured me is that while there are only pips for the minors, they are displayed differently. The card colors are not the same throughout the suit, and there are a lot of geometric shaping in the pips especially. I usually prefer decks with lots of images and people as I want to see how they interact; but I am finging that I can do the same with this deck. Just goes to show that the more exposure you have to different decks, the more you increase your knowledge and the better reader you can become. At least that is how it is working for me. Julie and I have been doing readings with it and they have been very accurate and informative. Here is the address to Titania's Star Tarot on the Aecletic Tarot Website. I don't know how to make it a link so you will have to paste in the browser in order to see it.

Hi Deb, when you post a URL here it automatically becomes a link, so no worries there.

Hey thanks for pointing us to the Titania Star deck. Very nice! I like the simplicity of it. Will you bring it to the next Meetup so we can see it in person?

My current favorite deck is the Gilded Tarot. I love the feel of the art work and the jewel toned colors with black background edged in black. I have been using this particular deck for the longest of any.

I now have some 11 different decks, a couple were inherited, most I acquired. Seems I was seeking just the right deck. I hope I have found one that meets my needs for awhile! How many decks does a witch need afterall! Looking for the perfect one can become obsessive!

Bright Blessings,

Fireshadow

Fireshadow, sounds like you are an official Tarot-holic!

The Gilded is beautiful, and it was done by the same artist who created Karen's favorite deck, Tarot of Dreams. He has a third deck in the words called Legacy of the Divine Tarot.

See you soon!

I adore the Gaian Tarot and can't wait for all 78 cards to be done. It will become one of my primary consultation decks, I know. Currently, I'm using these decks a lot:

* Maat (gorgeous artwork, a different but well thought out system, the images take readees and me deep into ancestral/psychological healing work)

* Crone (simple & elegantly executed artwork, enough picture to stimulate but not so much that I'm bamboozled, works well with the number/suit system I use)

* Inspiration Tarot (blank except for card names and a few symbols in the borders, meant to be decorated yourself but I like to leave them blank so I can allow the value concepts and suit concepts to blend intuitively in my imagination)

I mostly use The Druidcraft Tarot (Philip and Stepanie Carr Gomm and Will Worthington) for tarot spreads, as the illustrations are lovely but for quick guidance or "sense" of a situation, I like to use the Druid Animal Oracle, by the same people.
