Hi everyone!

Just wondering what kind of topics you would all like to see covered in our Meetups. I have the sense that most people would like to improve their reading skills. Is that right?

Please post your ideas here.

Thanks!

Hi, Joanna and friends,

I was wondering what you all do with timing questions. For example: "When will I be able to sell my house?"

Thanks and will see you in Julysmile

1) I'd like to explore how we take the reading and wrap it up into a finished package. Move the information into a spell, affirmation, outline for forward movement, next steps.

2) How to get more information out of the cards that showed up--some of the work that Mary Greer explored in her 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card. Can be a powerful way to get a lot out of a daily 1 card reading!

3) I'd like to use the relationship spread in the class sometime--
Column 1 Column 3 Column 2
pull until you get Pull until you get Pull until you get
a court card. a Major card. a court card.
Person 1 pathway to connect/ Person 2
issue to work on

I think it is a powerful spread, with the ability to really see who the issue is really about and what each brings to the issue individually as well as the combined relationship work.

I would like instruction on how to form a question. I find myself stammering and asking the same question 3 different ways. Now the cards have responded even with my beginner vocabulary but clarity is still needed.

Hi Joanna,

Since you know I'm Mr. Mystic I'd like to learn about the cards that suggest contemplation, inner exploration, and being here now.

In my practice, I've found that there are two great ways to deal with timing:

1. Build the timing into the layout. Have positions for various time frames down the road -- e.g. next week, one month from now, six months hence, etc. The lovely thing about this is that when you see the sequence of events or experiences, you can choose whether you want to keep them at those points in time or if you want to speed things up by carrying out actions in the order presented to you.

2. When asking "when" of the tarot, base it on the readee's involvement, embodiment, or living of the card(s). i.e. The answer to the question, "When will such and such likely happen?" is "When you're living, embodying, or experiencing this card's concept." It's an empowering way to deal with time because it's not about being right, it's about being helpful.

Sometimes I do timing using each suit as a different season and each value within the suit as a week within the seasons. Aces through Queens are the 13 weeks of that upcoming season and Kings represent that last time the season was here (i.e. the past).

Joanna, you're an excellent facilitator and I appreciate you immensely.

So... that being said, "being 'intuitive' when those around us have been squashed
and then told for years we can NOT; is scary, takes sensitivity, and intuition to help us rediscover ourselves... and having Joannna organize this is really powerful.
I am sensitive and very grateful for Joanna's mentorship. Claire

I am interested in developing a response to my resident ego (A New Earth / Eckhart Tolle) that immediately interprets readings I attempt for myself. How do I keep objective in interpreting for myself?

Bright Blessings,

Fireshadow

Hi Fireshadow,

Do you mean that you always interpret readings for yourself in a favorable way?

I think this would make a great group discussion.

Most readers -- though not all -- find it difficult to read for themselves, especially when the topic is an emotional one. So we turn to other Tarot readers to read for us.

Thanks for the suggestion!
