We'll discuss the Art of Asking Questions (thank you, James Wells!)

The clearer and more specific the question, the clearer and more specific the answer.

We'll look at some standard questions I've developed over the years, as well as your favorite questions. And we'll talk about taking yes/no questions and turning them into open-ended ones. (Hint: ask How . . . instead of Will . . . or When . . .)

See you there!

ATTENTION!!!! CHANGE OF VENUE AGAIN!!!!!

Claire has reserved the Clubhouse at James Street Estates, where she lives. She says:
"It has room, chairs, tables for up to 45 people and a full kitchen for our use. Bathroom's downstairs so that might be a problem for some. Right outside the club house there are about 16 parking spaces maybe 20."

Directions: Turn right into James Street Estates to get to the clubhouse. Claire will post a sign for the Card Group.

Claire has reserved it from 6 - 10 PM. Potluck meal and socializing from 6-7 PM, followed by our meeting starting at 7 PM.

Claire is bringing a chicken curry casserole (white chicken, breasts, over broccoli with a heavy sauce ...) and fruit - paper plates and silver ware.

Thanks Claire. See you all there!

Okay, this little pig-puke section won't let me blather on about the meeting, so I guess I'm just gonna haveto do this in pieces. It was wonderful - wonderful people, wonderful food, wonderful discussion, wonderful location. I'm done for now. More to follow.

My apologies that I wasn't able to make the meetup tonight. My husband got home extremely late so I had no one to watch the kids. I'd do my best to make the next one. Lori

I found another meeting place if you want to go here at the James St. Estates, club house with plenty of chairs tables and a full kitchen. I tentatively scheduled it for the 13th and need to know what you think, because we can bring our own food and have the room to ourselves. It's off Sunset Blvd. behing Kmart or come off Meridian on Telegraph and turn right on James St. Rd. and turn left into the Estates. Another ver right and right and you're at the club house.

    •  Entirely too much fun with entirely too many great people!! Woo-hoo!! There IS Tarot in Bellingham! Wonderful discussion about how to ask a question. Wonderful exchange of perspectives. Wunnerfull, wunnerfull (I'm channelling Lawrence Welk right now, please save me!). Welcoming, open, challenging, enlightening. AND we did a spiffy reading for the group. How much better can this get? Well, we're gonna have another one next month, topic to be decided. Joanna is a Tarot Goddess for making this happen. Why oh why did I wait so long? Because I'm dumb! But no longer. Good eats, good location, good people. My Tarot Batteries are recharged and I shouldn't get my usual reading of "Get off your dead ass and DO something Holly." I just helped do something great!

I once again had a great time. I learned a lot from the insightful conversation, meeting the new folks was nice, and the food was tasty and refreshing. The group reading was a great finale. It was a fun time and I'm glad I went.
    •  It was great! It is always different with a new mix of people. We had some intellectual sparring - the five of wands - but it was fun and stimulating. Thanks to Claire for hosting us at the new location. I think it will work out well for us.
    •  It went really well, although we missed some of our regulars! The new folks brought lots of enthusiasm and energy to the group. Loved the group reading we did, asking "What is the deep wisdom that can emerge from continued meetings of this Tarot group?"

... The new members were delightful and we missed five of our other regulars so hopefully next month we'll all get together again. I appreciated learning about new interpretations and how different people work with the deck. I'd like to work from the 'work book' Joanna showed me a couple of months ago. That book had an excellent assortment of handouts and exercies. Have a good month and see you back at the James St. Estates next month. claire
