"old member" is Christa, who had signed up under 2 accounts and let one go, which is why the Meetup board now lists her old posts as "old member." How funny.

Anyway Christa has not come to a meeting yet (she is a very busy mom of young ones, if I remember correctly) but we're still hoping that she will come one of these days.

I was out on the island yesterday and my "San Juan Sage" which is a native artemisia (aka mugwort) is in fine form. I will harvest some next time I'm there and bring it to the July meeting. It is *extremely* pungent!

Mugwort is an herb that is reputed to bring on psychic visions and dreams (in European traditions). It's also used in Asia as a cleansing herb. At the Korean women's spa in Seattle, there is a "mugwort well" -- warm water full of mugwort "tea". You scoop it out with bowls and pour it over your body. It's heavenly.

Cool... I'd like to try some and I also have a couple of book and things to exchange at the July meeting but we may need to remind people we were going to bring 'old Tarot' stuff of 'mugwort ... ' so we could do a mini swap and shop or buy the stuff. thanks...

I don't get into too much of a froth over clearing my cards. They're just cards. I simply riffle and shuffle them and put them away. I like to think that the various consultations that a deck has witnessed accumulate and add a depth of story to each subsequent session.
